Sherlene Cheah Wen Mann

Sherlene is a graduate of Kings College London, UK and holds an LLB (Hons.) Degree. She was admitted as a Barrister at Law to the Bar of England & Wales in 2021 and subsequently as an Advocate and Solicitor to the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak at Kota Kinabalu in October 2022.

Whilst pursuing her undergraduate studies, she has undergone several short attachments with law firms in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, namely Messrs. Shearn Delamore, Messrs. Lee Hishammuddin Allen and Messrs Gledhill and Rajah & Tann LLP.

After her admission to the Bar of England & Wales in 2021, she commenced her pupilage in Messrs. Jayasuriya Kah and Co. whereby she had the opportunity to handle various matters such as debt recovery, civil appeals, enforcement of judgments, issues surrounding constitutional law, judicial review, defamation, construction law and arbitration.

Thereafter, she joined Messrs NG & Co. in November 2022 after she was admitted to local bar in the state of Sabah and Sarawak.

As A Solicitor & Advocate

Sherlene’s primary area of practice is commercial dispute resolution, particularly in the Construction context, as well as other contentious matters including property management disputes and injunctive relief. As such, she attends court trial proceedings and interlocutory matters in the lower and higher courts. However, she strives to improve her competency by attending regular training workshops and seminars organized by Sabah Law Society and other organizations.
